The Highland Council, in partnership with all HHR partners, specialist housing providers in Highland, affordable housing providers and the PRT sector are holding a “Highland Housing Extravaganza!” event to celebrate Scottish Housing day.
This event will showcase all types of housing available in Highland.
The event will be held at the Spectrum Centre Inverness from 1pm to 6pm. Teas/Coffees and traybakes will be available all day and there will be activities for children.
The event is open to all but specific invitations will be sent to targeted groups e.g. young people, veterans, people with disabilities or long term illnesses, older people, ethnic minority groups. There will also be a focus on changing the public perception of homelessness and the introduction of the Housing First approach which mirrors the principle that housing is a basic human right.
